Google Brings Play Store Optimized for Big Screens to Android Tablets at Last

Google is working on a redesign of its Play Store to better suit large-screen devices like the Pixel Tablet. The update features a multi-column layout for app listing pages, with app information on the left and recommended software on the right. Games will have a new video banner for showcasing gameplay, while non-gaming apps can utilize the format changes to display previews through screenshots, videos, and descriptions. The design also includes streamlined store navigation with menu items placed on the left for easier access in landscape mode. Additionally, a split-screen search mode will show search results alongside app details, eliminating the need to switch between pages.
