GMC to offer delayed 3X trim option on new EV Hummer SUVs and trucks with exclusive features

GMC has announced its new electric trucks and SUVs, featuring customization options and a delayed 3X trim option. Originally scheduled for release in fall 2022, the 3X trim package will now be available for the 2023 Hummer EV Pickup and the 2024 Hummer EV SUV. The 3X package will include 22-inch wheels and 35-inch all-terrain tires as standard.

The vehicles will come in two trims, Edition 1 and 3X, with the option of an extreme off-road package for the pickup and both models for the SUV. GMC has also updated the range estimates, with the new models able to ride up to 355 miles per charge. However, the range decreases with certain configuration packages, such as the extreme off-road package, which brings the range down to 329 miles per charge.

The new models still feature the same three-motor layout as prior generations with an estimated 1,000 horsepower and can tow anywhere from 7,500 to 8,500 pounds, depending on the configuration.
