A new update from Genshin Impact has provided players with additional information about the TCG mode that is expected to be added to the game in Version 3.3. With the release of the enormously popular RPG’s Version 3.2 scheduled to arrive tomorrow, HoYoVerse has began to provide clues about what’s to come in the following patch. Scaramouche, dubbed “Wanderer,” will be included in Version 3.3, along with a brand-new Faruzan character, according to the developer. Players are beginning to get a better concept of what the future TCG will look like.
During the Version 3.1 Special Program last month, HoYoVerse officially announced that Genshin Impact will have its own in-game TCG. The game is prominently referenced by numerous NPCs inside the game’s new location of Sumeru, and it appears to be a popular interest among Akademiya students and scholars. The card game’s gameplay has yet to be unveiled, but the announcement displayed cards of Genshin’s many popular characters. HoYoVerse is now promoting the game mode’s upcoming launch once more.

A recent post on Genshin Impact’s social media revealed further details about how the Genius Invokation TCG would function within the game. The card game appears to be largely centered on PvE components, with players able to get all of the cards in-game. The TCG will have both PvE and PvP matches for users to compete against their friends, but no prizes will be attached to its PvP system. The tweet also teases the ability for users to invite “characters and NPCs” to play against them, hinting that members of Genshin Impact’s playable cast may join the TCG mode.
In addition to small insights concerning the game mode’s functionality, Genshin Impact unveiled some characters who would debut in the Genius Invokation TCG. Character Cards in the game will contain a combination of five-star characters like Diluc and Ayaka and four-star characters like Xingqiu and Collei, as well as bosses like the Maguu Kenki. Other card designs unveiled by Genshin Impact include pictures based on the Adventurer’s Guild’s Katheryne, Yae Miko, and Diluc’s Constellations.
The addition of Genius Invokation TCG to Genshin Impact comes at a time when fans of the popular RPG have been demanding for more endgame content. Endgame material has long been requested by players, with Genshin’s Spiral Abyss presently serving as the lone example. While the TCG is intended to be permanent, HoYoVerse has declared that they would not incorporate endgame material comparable to Spiral Abyss, which has received major hostility from the community. While the Genius Invokation TCG may not be the endgame that many players hoped for, it does promise to be a lot of fun for Genshin Impact enthusiasts.
