Fernando Alonso is concerned about the reliability of Aston Martin’s DRS system, which has been causing issues for the team throughout the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend. While the Spanish driver made it through Saturday’s sprint race without any DRS problems, he remains wary that it may not be “bulletproof into the race”.
During Friday’s qualifying session, both Alonso and teammate Lance Stroll struggled with DRS issues, with the team-mates finishing only P6 and P9 respectively. Although the team worked on the problem, Alonso had to give Stroll the tow during the sprint race in an attempt to help him find tenths when his DRS failed again.
