Paradox has announced a delay in the release of its Sims-like game, “Life By You.” The early access, which was originally scheduled for September of this year, has been pushed back to March 5, 2024. The decision to delay the release is aimed at giving the development studio, Paradox Tectonic, more time to improve the game’s visuals and user interface, ensuring a better-rounded experience for players.
In addition to visual enhancements, the extra time will also be utilized to fine-tune mod tools, allowing players to create their own content in the game. This is expected to add to the overall appeal and longevity of “Life By You.”
The game is currently available for pre-order on the Epic Games store for $39.99/ £34.99/ AUD$66.75. Once early access begins in March 2024, it will also be available for pre-order on Steam at the same price. Pre-orders come with various bonus packs, including “The Life Begins” pack, “Jumpstart Fashion,” “Vehicle: Vintage Scooter,” and “Walls to Floors Decor” packs. Additionally, all players who participate in the early access will receive the “Nightclub Vibe” pack as an extra bonus.
Players who have already pre-ordered the game must re-do their order to gain access to the “Nightclub Vibe” pack, but they can still get a refund for the original purchase through Epic Games. Despite the delay, the anticipation for “Life By You” remains high, with many looking forward to the healthy competition it may bring to The Sims series.
