EA Sports has announced the release date for EA Sports FC 25 and revealed its cover star. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC starting September 27, 2024.
The cover of the Standard Edition will feature Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham. The Ultimate Edition will showcase Bellingham alongside other football legends, including Aitana Bonmatí, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Gianluigi Buffon. Pre-orders are open now, with players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition by August 20 receiving special rewards. These include an untradeable Hero or ICON Player Item in EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team from the ‘Greats of the Game’ campaign, as well as an untradeable Hero Player Item in EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Team with an upgraded ‘Prime’ version, available in November.
EA Sports FC 25 will bring several new features to the series. Notably, women’s football will be introduced in Career mode for the first time. The game will offer various modes, including 5v5 Rush, a fast-paced small-sided gameplay mode replacing Volta, available in Football Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Kick-Off.
FC IQ has been revamped for enhanced strategic control and realism in team building, utilizing a new AI model “powered by real-world data” to influence player tactics with all-new Player Roles. Ultimate Team will see updates, including Manager Items, customizable Evolution items, and a new duplicate storage mechanic.
EA Sports FC 25 is the second entry in the newly branded series following EA’s split with FIFA in 2022. This separation ended a thirty-year run of FIFA-branded EA games, with FIFA 23 being the final installment under the FIFA name.
