EA admits 60% of corrupted ‘Madden NFL 23’ franchise save files are lost forever

Last week, EA sent Madden NFL 23 players an unwelcome gift: corrupted save files. According to the publisher, anybody who attempted to use the game’s Connected Franchise Mode (CFM) during a server outage had a 60% risk of losing their stored data permanently.

The first server problems began on Wednesday, December 28th and lasted into the next day. As a consequence, EA claims that data for anybody who logged into franchise leagues during that time period were damaged. (Those who did not save their data should be unaffected.) Unfortunately, EA’s development team anticipates that just 40% of the compromised brands will be recovered.
