Dragonflight Dracthyr Evoker is now playable in World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft players may finally construct Dracthyr Evoker characters on live servers, after months of anticipation. The second part of the Dragonflight pre-patch heralds the introduction of World of Warcraft’s 13th playable class.

The Dracthyr is a new draconic playable race in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, along with the Evoker, a new dragon-themed class. Dracthyr are the sole race for the Evoker class, and Evoker is presently the only class accessible to Dracthyr in World of Warcraft, making them the game’s first unique race class pair.

World of Warcraft has produced a brief film promoting the new Dracthyr Evoker, with the second part of the Dragonflight pre-patch now online. It introduced the Dracthyr, who had recently awoken from a 20,000-year slumber to a vastly different planet. The video demonstrated the dynamic powers of the Preservation healing spec and Devastation DPS spec, as well as unique abilities like Soar, which uses Dragonflight’s Dragonriding principles.

Players may officially build Dracthyr Evokers following the weekly reset, which means players in Europe and other nations east of North America will have to wait until November 16 to do so. Those who have bought Dragonflight, however, may create a single dracthyr Evoker on any planet. Because Evokers are a Hero Class that starts at level 58, succeeding Dracthyr need players to have at least one level 50 character on a particular realm, and each realm can only have one Dracthyr.

Players are already jumping in to create their own Dracthyr Evokers. With so many personalization choices, no two Dracthyr are likely to look alike, therefore gamers are anxious to show off their own avatars. Many players have already built their Dracthyr in the Dragonflight beta or with their own artistic abilities and are anxious to have them formally recreated, while the majority of gamers are eager to test out the new Evoker class.

However, some admirers are still sceptical about the Dracthyr. Most people expected to be able to play a real dragon or one of the current dragonkin-like drakonids or dragonspawn in Dragonflight. Some of those players are warming up to them after witnessing how great Scalecommander Emberthal is in the new Dragonflight launch trailer or viewing her narrative in the Dragonflight Legacies animated shorts. Players may now test out the Dracthyr Evoker to see whether the new race class mix is right for them.
