How iMessage Contact Key Verification Works
iMessage Contact Key Verification uses a cryptographic key to verify the identity of the people you are communicating with. This key is stored on your device and is not shared with Apple. When you send a message to someone who also has iMessage Contact Key Verification enabled, your devices will exchange keys and verify each other’s identities. This ensures that only the intended recipient can read your messages.
