AMD Radeon RX 7600 Leak Reveals Impressive Mid-Range GPU

Newly leaked product renders of a Sapphire-branded AMD Radeon RX 7600 desktop graphics card have surfaced, offering a glimpse at its design and potential specs. The retail box shows that the graphics card will likely have 8GB VRAM, 32 AMD RDNA 3 compute units, and 32MB of AMD infinity cache. The RX 7600 features a standard dual-fan setup and a single eight-pin power connector, which is consistent with a 130W power usage. The desktop RX 7600 has 15% more shader processors than the mobile RX 7600, indicating similar specs to the Radeon RX 7600M XT.

French website CowCotLand claims that the graphics card will cost €349, which equates to around $304 after adjusting for VAT fees. However, the site’s lack of sources means it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt. If true, this puts AMD in a strong position against Nvidia’s upcoming mid-range GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 cards, expected to release by July at the latest.

The rumored price point for the RTX 4060 is about $350, meaning that AMD could undercut its rival significantly by pricing the RX 7600 at around $299. Despite the low VRAM, the RX 7600’s other specs and expected performance should compensate for this. If the performance of the Radeon RX 7600M XT is any indication, AMD has a chance to take the lead in the crucial mid-range market segment.

If AMD can maintain a competitive price point, gamers will benefit from access to an affordable graphics card that offers good performance. However, it remains to be seen how the market will react to the new graphics card and whether it will live up to expectations.
