Alan Wake Remastered will be available for the Nintendo Switch this fall

Alan Wake Remastered will be released this fall for the Nintendo Switch, according to developer Remedy Entertainment. Last year, the game was launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC (through the Epic Games Store). Unlike Remedy’s cloud-streamed Switch port of Control, the Switch version operates “natively on the hardware,” according to a press email.

Remedy has revealed a couple more Alan Wake series updates. When Remedy revealed Alan Wake 2 last December, creative director Sam Lake hinted that we would hear more about it this summer. However, in a video released on Thursday, he stated that we will have to wait longer to see more of the game.

“Everything is going swimmingly,” Lake remarked. “A large portion of the game is playable, and we are iterating on it.” But after talking for a number of months, we’ve decided not to exhibit anything major this summer.” Alan Wake 2 will be released in 2023.

AMC Networks has purchased the rights to the previously announced Alan Wake TV project, according to Remedy. “There is still a long way to go before the series becomes a reality,” Remedy said in a press email.
