When the initial game awakens from its slumber, the remaining players should have lots of possibilities to duplicate its wholesomeness for a long time. Infinity Ward has previously said that it does not aim to replace Warzone with Warzone 2 like its sister company Blizzard did with Overwatch. Instead, the creators want to sustain Warzone alongside its sequel, which was just launched as part of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 roadmap, albeit it will remain an independent, free-to-play experience.
