Infobip, the global cloud communications company, has been named one of Europe’s most innovative businesses by Fortune, climbing to 16th place on the magazine’s 2026 ranking — a sharp rise from its debut at No. 68 a year earlier.
The list, Fortune’s Europe’s Most Innovative Companies 2026, was unveiled at the VivaTech conference in Paris. Compiled with the research firm Statista, it evaluates companies on innovation culture, product development and process improvements. Infobip’s placement puts it inside the top 25 of the ranking.
The company framed the jump — from 68th on the inaugural 2025 list to 16th this year — as validation of the “AI-first” strategy it has pursued as it marks its 20th year. “As we mark our 20th year, we are very proud to be on Fortune’s list of Most Innovative Companies in Europe,” said Silvio Kutic, Infobip’s co-founder and chief executive. “We have spent years building the infrastructure that enterprises trust, with innovative technology that works for our customers. This recognition tells us we are on the right track.”
At the center of that strategy is Infobip AgentOS, which the company describes as an AI-native, fully managed system for orchestrating autonomous, AI-driven customer journeys at scale. Infobip runs a CPaaS — communications platform as a service — that lets businesses reach customers across channels such as SMS, WhatsApp, email and voice through a single platform.
Founded in 2006 and led by co-founders Kutic and chief technology officer Izabel Jelenic, Infobip says its technology can reach more than seven billion mobile devices across six continents through thousands of network connections. The company has expanded in the Middle East in recent years, including launching operations and a data center in Saudi Arabia.
“Europe’s most exciting companies are solving problems that matter,” said Grethe Schepers, Fortune’s Lists Director for Europe. “These companies are turning fresh ideas into real growth across industry and services, from manufacturing and energy to healthcare, technology, and consumer markets.”
Infobip also pointed to its role in the European Union’s IPCEI-CIS initiative for next-generation cloud infrastructure and services, one of the bloc’s largest coordinated research efforts, which brings together 12 member states and more than 100 companies to build an interoperable data-processing ecosystem for cloud and edge services. Infobip said its work within the project centers on a next-generation cloud communications platform intended to support Europe’s digital sovereignty.
The Fortune recognition adds to a run of analyst nods for the company, including a fourth consecutive year as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Communications Platform as a Service. Infobip competes with rivals such as Twilio, Sinch and Vonage in a crowded market increasingly defined by how convincingly providers can fold AI into business messaging.
