NullRef Entertainment Unveils ‘Chop Chop Inc.,’ a Chaotic Furniture Crafting Sim Coming to PC

Indie developer NullRef Entertainment has pulled back the curtain on Chop Chop Inc., a crafting simulator that blends cozy vibes with gleeful chaos. The game is set to hit PC via Steam later in 2026.

The premise is delightfully absurd: after getting fired from the corporate monolith Furnox Corp., players start over with nothing but an axe, a few trees, and dreams of wooden revenge. The goal? Chop trees, craft furniture, sell it, and build an empire—one splinter at a time.

From Logs to Luxury

Chop Chop Inc. features a full production pipeline. Trees of all shapes, sizes, and colors (some physics-defying) get harvested and processed into planks, which become furniture, which becomes cold hard cash. The crafting system encourages creative overengineering—think wooden PCs, timber weight benches, and other items that probably shouldn’t exist in lumber form.

Players can reinvest earnings into better tools, faster machines, and automation systems. New areas unlock rare tree types, while character progression lets players boost strength, stamina, and even cooking skills. Apparently, a hearty stew is essential fuel for industrial-scale deforestation.

Quirky Characters and Hidden Secrets

The game world is populated with offbeat NPCs who can be befriended and integrated into your production line—voluntarily, the developer assures. Secrets are scattered throughout, waiting to be discovered as players expand their headquarters.

With its blend of factory-building mechanics, cozy aesthetics, and comedic tone, Chop Chop Inc. appears to be targeting fans of games like Stardew Valley and Satisfactory who want something lighter but equally engaging.

The game is available to wishlist on Steam now. For an indie studio, NullRef Entertainment is betting big on the growing appetite for wholesome simulation games with a twist—and if the reveal trailer is any indication, there’s plenty of wood-based mayhem ahead.
