Ogre Pixel’s ‘Hidden Around the World’ Brings Cozy Globe-Trotting to Switch and Steam

Ogre Pixel, the indie studio behind A Tiny Sticker Tale, is launching Hidden Around the World on April 6, bringing a relaxing hidden-object experience across 12 hand-drawn global destinations to Nintendo Switch, Steam, iOS, and Android.

The $7.99 title follows Laly, a photography apprentice, and her fairy companion Coronya as they explore lovingly illustrated versions of Paris, Tokyo, New York, Venice, Mexico City, and beyond. Players hunt for hidden objects, snap photos to recreate charming scenes, and earn coins for gacha rewards and city customization.

Building Your Own World

What sets Hidden Around the World apart is its Sandbox Mode, which transforms players into level designers. Users can build custom cities using unlocked assets—shops, parks, and pets—then share their creations online for others to explore.

“We’re especially proud of the Sandbox Mode because it turns players into creators. It’s a feature that encourages imagination, letting you build, decorate, and share your own cities while discovering others’ creations.”

That’s Steve Durán, Director of Ogre Pixel, speaking to the studio’s ambitions beyond traditional hidden-object gameplay.

A Love Letter to Global Cities

The Aguascalientes, Mexico-based team treated development as a research project, studying each city’s architectural details and cultural quirks.

“From Mexico City to Cairo, we discovered new details about these places and loved bringing them into the game. Our dream is to visit them all in person someday!”

The game offers roughly four hours of core gameplay, stretching to seven-plus hours for completionists hunting every collectible.

Hidden Around the World launches with a 15% discount during its first week and supports nine languages. With user-generated content and cross-platform sharing, Ogre Pixel is betting that cozy gaming’s appeal extends well beyond finding hidden objects—it’s about building communities around them.
