Razer’s CES Lineup: Affordable Gaming Chair and a Wild Temperature-Control Experiment

Razer’s making moves in the gaming chair market with two very different approaches. One’s practical, the other’s straight out of a sci-fi movie.

First up is the Iskur V2 X, priced at $299.99. This chair keeps what matters from its pricier sibling – the built-in lumbar support and those dense foam cushions that make long gaming sessions bearable. You can still recline it to 152 degrees, perfect for those between-match breaks.

What’s missing? The armrests only move in two directions instead of four, the material’s different, and you’ll need to buy your head pillow separately. Plus, it only comes in black. But considering you’re saving over $350 compared to the regular V2, these seem like smart compromises.

Now, let me tell you about Project Arielle – this one made me do a double-take. Razer took their mesh Fujin Pro chair and added temperature controls. Yes, really. It has built-in fans that can drop the temperature around you by 2-5°C, with three different speed settings.

But wait – it gets better. They’ve added heating too, up to 30°C. As someone writing about this during winter, that feature sounds pretty appealing right now.

Will Project Arielle make it to market? We’ll see. But the Iskur V2 X looks like a solid option if you want Razer quality without the premium price tag. Just remember – no head pillow in the box.
