Tinder, the popular dating app, has announced that it will be eliminating social media handles from public profiles. The company says that this change is being made in an effort to “reinforce authenticity, respect and inclusivity.”
In a statement, Tinder said that it has identified an issue with users turning their profiles into spaces for “making money.” The company says that this can lead to users misrepresenting themselves in order to attract followers or sell products.
