Williams have announced the addition of British racer Luke Browning to their Driver Academy, following the signing of Franco Colapinto earlier this year. Browning, who currently races in Formula 3 with the Hitech Pulse-Eight squad, has been signed after winning the GB3 Championship in 2022 and scoring five wins and a further eight podiums while racing with Hitech.
The 21-year-old driver has scored 14 points from the first two rounds in Bahrain and Australia in the 2023 F3 season, with a fifth-place finish in Bahrain being his best result so far. Browning’s signing takes the Williams Driver Academy’s total number of members to five, with four currently racing in Formula 3, including Zak O’Sullivan and Oliver Gray, who joined Williams last year.
The longest-established Williams Academy driver, Jamie Chadwick, is currently racing in Indy NXT, having won three W Series titles in 2019, 2021, and 2022, prior to the Dorilton Capital takeover.
