Xiaomi’s Latest Flagship Phone, the 13 Pro with Leica Cameras, Set to Launch in Europe

Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker, has finally launched its Leica-endorsed smartphones in the international market. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, which were launched in China in December, are now available in several western markets, including Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The devices are equipped with Google services pre-installed, and are similar to their Chinese counterparts in terms of features and specifications.

The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are equipped with Leica camera islands on the back, with the 13 Pro boasting a Type 1-inch sensor (Sony’s IMX989) for its 50-megapixel f/1.9 OIS main shooter, which is considered to be the industry’s most powerful camera sensor at present. The 13 Pro also features a 50-megapixel 3.2x telephoto camera (75mm equivalent) with OIS and a 50-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera (14mm equivalent). The Xiaomi 13, on the other hand, features a 50-megapixel f/1.8 OIS main camera with a smaller sensor (IMX800), a 10-megapixel 3.2x zoom OIS zoom camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide (15mm equivalent) camera. Both models have a 32-megapixel f/2.0 punch-hole selfie cam.
