Twitter CEO fires senior executives and stops recruiting

Twitter’s top management is changing. The first move was disclosed on Twitter by consumer product leader Kayvon Beykpour, who stated that current CEO Parag Agrawal “asked me to depart after letting me know that he wanted to take the team on a different path.”

Bruce Falck, the company’s general manager of revenue and head of product, stated in a (now-deleted) tweet that he, too, had been sacked by Agrawal.

In an unexpected twist, Parag Agrawal himself responded to both posts on Thursday evening, praising the men he’d fired and expressing praise for their work.
