Volkswagen Launches Pre-Sales for Upgraded 2024 ID.4 and ID.5 Electric Crossovers in Europe

Enhanced Features, More Power, and Advanced Infotainment Define the Latest ID Models

Charging capabilities have also received a boost, with the ID.4 and ID.5 RWD models now capable of charging at up to 135 kW, while the AWD variants can now charge at a faster rate of up to 175 kW. With maximum charging capacity, ID.4 and ID.5 AWD models can gain an impressive 110 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes of DC fast charging. Additionally, the base VW ID.4 Pure with a 52-kWh battery now charges at up to 115 kW, an improvement over the previous 110 kW.

A noteworthy addition is the implementation of new charging and thermal management that ensures the battery is pre-conditioned while driving to the next DC fast charging station.

In the United States, the 2024 VW ID.4 will receive the new rear motor and the more potent dual-motor powertrain, although it will not carry the GTX badge, instead being branded as the ID.4 AWD Pro.
