Uzbekistan’s Auto Manufacturing Sees Sharp Decline in 5M2023

Analyzing the specific segments of the automotive industry, the data reveals that in January to May 2023, the country produced 39,264 Cobalt vehicles, showing a slight growth rate of 0.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2022. On the other hand, the production of Nexia T-250 vehicles witnessed a sharp decline of 78.7%, with only 1,992 units manufactured. Similarly, the production of Gentra vehicles decreased by 21%, totaling 27,961 units. Other notable declines include Spark vehicles (95.1% decrease), Damas vehicles (9.4% decrease), while specialized passenger vehicles experienced an 18.5% increase. Tracker and Opix vehicles saw production figures of 8,853 and 6,943, respectively.
