Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed Jade Closed Beta to Launch Next Month

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade, a free-to-play mobile game developed by Level Infinite and published by Ubisoft, is set to have its closed beta starting on August 3. The game offers an open-world experience that allows players to journey through 2,000 years of Chinese history, exploring an era of trade and cultural exchange.

While being developed by a Tencent subsidiary, Ubisoft assures fans that they are working closely with Level Infinite to create a high-quality Assassin’s Creed game experience tailored for mobile platforms. Players can expect to engage in familiar Assassin’s Creed gameplay elements, such as climbing buildings, parkouring across rooftops, assassinating targets in various ways, and engaging in exciting combat.

Although Codename Jade is not a console-level experience like its sister title, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it aims to bring the Assassin’s Creed essence to mobile gaming. The plot of the game will take players on a journey from the Great Wall outside the Chinese empire’s borders to the imperial capital of Xianyang, filled with ancient history, hidden dangers, and conspiracies to dismantle.

With its themes of exploration and adventure across the ancient world, Codename Jade hopes to offer a fully-rounded Assassin’s Creed experience that can be enjoyed on mobile devices. Players interested in trying out the game can sign up for the closed beta on the official website and see how Level Infinite’s ambitious project translates the Assassin’s Creed universe to the mobile platform.
