How to connect Google Duo to Laptop

There was a time when apps were restricted to Desktops/Laptops. However, today, the case is reversed since most apps are now only available on the smartphone. Google Duo, the voice and video calling app from Google, is a bit different in this respect.

Not only does Duo offer you high-quality voice and video calling, but it also does not require you to have an account on the app to get started.

The best part, however, is that you can use Duo directly on your Desktop/Laptop. Usually, you need to ru an emulator like Nox player or Blustacks to emulate an Android smartphone on your PC, to run mobile apps on your computer, but in this case, Duo can be used without any of these emulators.

In this tutorial, we will show you step-by-step, how you can easily use Google Duo on your Desktop/Laptop.

Sign into your Google Account

Step 1. Open the web browser on your Desktop/Laptop.

Step 2. In the URL bar, enter duo.google.com.

Step 3. Sign in with your Google account.

You are now ready to use Duo directly from your Desktop/Laptop.

Place a call on Google Duo

This is how you can place your first voice or video call Duo on your Desktop/Laptop.

Step 1. In the search bar, type the name of the contact you want to call.

Step 2. Click on their contact to reveal contact info and relevant control.

Step 3. From the contact window, click on either ‘Voice Call‘ or ‘Video Call‘.

The call will now be placed at the desired contact.
