Sony has not given a specific reason as to why it is removing Twitter/X integration on its consoles, but if we were to take a guess, it is most probably because of the increase in the prices to use the Twitter API. The enterprise tier costs $42,000/month, which is pretty steep, even for a giant like Sony. But this is not the first time a major company has ended Twitter integration on its products. In April, Microsoft announced that Twitter integration will be ended on Xbox consoles, and they followed it up by ending the integration on the Windows Game Bar as well.
