The Venza is hanging up its boots after the 2024 model year, making way for the Crown Signia. It’s like a passing of the torch, but with SUVs.
Dave Christ, the bigwig at Toyota North America, spilled the beans, saying, “We were very happy with the Venza, and if it weren’t so close to Crown Signia, we would have kept it, but the dimensions are similar and it’s a very similar buyer, so we made the decision to sunset the Venza.”
Now, brace yourselves because the Crown Signia is rolling in, and Toyota’s keeping the price tag in the Venza’s ballpark. No official numbers yet, but expect it to play in the same league. The Venza’s final hurrah in the United States starts at $36,315 for the base LE and goes up to $44,460 for the top-tier Limited trim.
The Venza, also known as the Harrier in other spots, shares the stage with the Crown Signia on the TNGA-K platform. And get this – they’re both hybrid-only with standard all-wheel drive. But the Crown Signia is cranking up the power game with 243 horses, compared to the Venza’s 219.
Now, let’s talk efficiency. The Crown Signia is targeting 36 miles per gallon, a tad less than the Venza’s 39 mpg combined. And when it comes to towing, the new SUV can haul up to 2,700 pounds, while the Venza wasn’t rated for towing.
Get ready to meet the 2025 Crown Signia at Toyota dealers next summer, hanging out with its sedan sibling. In Japan, there are even more Crown models, like a smaller Crown Sport crossover and a regular Crown sedan.
