Google Earth is an application from tech giant Google, that allows users to visit any place on earth, without stepping out of their homes, and in a period of time where we are all confined indoors, Google Earth has done a great job of bringing the world together and making every place on this planet, accessible to all. Through the years, this application has transitioned from a browser app to being compatible with computers and now, even smartphones. But, no matter the platform, the Google Earth app works like an absolute charm, and over here, at TechPlugged, we have been extensively using this application to virtually visit places that we would never even have dreamt of.
Searching for locations on Google Earth is really easy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it. If you are someone who is interested in searching for s specific location, then you must also have heard of the latitude longitude concept. For those of you who don’t know, every place on earth has a unique latitude and longitude value, and in order to search for a location that is very specific, it is always good to have the latitude and longitude co-ordinates so that you are pointed to the right location.
Google Earth allows you to search for locations by entering the co-ordinates, but in order to do that you must enable it first. In this tutorial, we will walk you through how you can easily search for co-ordinates on Google Earth.
First, let us see if the co-ordinates have been enabled on your Google Earth application.
Step 1. Open the Google Earth application on your computer.
Step 2. On the globe, hover over some area and if you can see the Latitude and Longitude of the place, then you are all set.
However, if you are unable to see the Latitude and Longitude of the place you are hovering over on the globe, then you will have to enable this feature.
This is how you can do it.
