Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, confirmed the rollout, bringing relief to users who have been eagerly waiting for this expansion. This move comes after Meta announced earlier this week that Threads would be accessible through web browsers.
The absence of a web version has been a source of frustration for Threads users. While it was possible to manually navigate to individual profiles, essential features such as browsing feeds, posting, replying, and logging into accounts were not accessible through browsers. As a result, the app experienced a decline in engagement following its initial launch, prompting users to clamor for a web version.
