The Star Wars squad shooter game has been pushed back to 2024

Star Wars: Hunters, the free-to-play multiplayer shooting game from Zynga, has been reportedly pushed back once again. While the new date is not set in stone, the developers believe that they can get the game to market sometime in 2024. For those of you who do not know what this is all about, Star Wars: Hunters is a third-person shooter multiplayer game that takes place on the planet Vespaara. Players take on the role of ‘Hunters’ as they track and shoot down the opponents to get the victory. Think of it like Fortnite or Overwatch 2 but in a Star Wars flavour. The game is set to release on the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

The game, which was scheduled for a 2021 release, underwent multiple delays, and now that it has been delayed again, gamers want to know what is taking so long. While developers are coy about the actual cause of the delay, the corporate answer they are giving us is that they want to ensure they bring out the best possible experience for the gamers, and they would rather delay and make a perfect product. Well, they have been taking some time now, and one can only hope that after all this delay, the Star Wars; Hunters game turns out to be a 10/10 from launch day itself.

“We are thankful to all of our fans who have played Star Wars: Hunters in soft launch and have loved the engagement and enthusiasm for the game shown in our soft launch territories,” the statement reads.

“Game delays are frustrating, both for fans and us as developers, but our top priority remains to ensure players have the best possible experience. We continue to strive toward that goal, on Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS devices.”
