The Harley-Davidson LiveWire S2 Del Mar is the company’s most economical electric motorcycle to date

The S2 Del Mar is expected to have 80 horsepower (59.6kW) and weigh less than 440 pounds, with zero to 60 mph times of 3.5 seconds or less. According to LiveWire, the new motorcycle would have a city driving range of roughly 100 miles.

The S2 Del Mar rides on two 19-inch Dunlop DT1 tires that are suitable for both paved and off-road riding. A tracker-style handlebar in front of a thin flyscreen sets the rider in an upright stance, allowing for “a pleasant and controlled riding experience,” according to LiveWire.

And the bike is already proving to be very popular among clients. According to a spokeswoman, the reservation deposits for the 100 Launch Edition variants of the S2 Del Mar were picked up in just 18 minutes. Customers can still sign up for the standard S2 Del Mar waitlist, which is anticipated to begin deliveries in early 2023.
