The Find X2 Pro’s 5x optical zoom may sound more thrilling than this new periscopic camera’s 3x optical zoom, but it also has a 6x “in-sensor” zoom. This is made possible by the relatively big (1.56-inch) Sony IMX890 sensor, which even when cropped natively provides a respectable number of pixels. Even at 6x, I was able to take remarkably clear and sharp pictures using a pre-release firmware. This hybrid approach would undoubtedly be outperformed by any other 10x optical zoom camera, but it is still an option, especially given how useful the 3x optical zoom is for food photography and the new Hasselblad Portrait Mode, which is said to mimic “the colours and depth of field of Hasselblad’s classic XCD30 and XCD80 lenses.”

The ultra-wide camera also makes use of an IMX890 sensor, which is reportedly the biggest one available right now in this category. Similar to before, this camera features a freeform surface lens to reduce distortion and a sizable f/2.2 aperture.
