The Dead Space remake has topped the sales charts

Since Isaac Clarke worked a nightmare shift aboard the necromorph-infested Ishimura in 2008’s Dead Space, the Dead Space series has been one of the most popular in the horror game genre. The game was groundbreaking at the time, with an impressively immersive presentation that blended atmospheric level design, spine-chilling sound effects, and John Carpenter’s The Thing’s body horror into a sci-fi horror sensation. Many people were doubtful that a remake could possibly match the original when EA Motive’s remake was unveiled over a decade later. According to sales numbers and reviews, the studio seems to have accomplished just that.
