Tesla Continues Price Cuts: Model 3 Now at Its Lowest Ticket Price Ever

Tesla Slashes Prices on Model Y Long Range and Performance Models as well

Tesla is on a price-cutting spree, as it recently introduced a more affordable Model Y variant in the USA and has now further reduced prices for both the Model Y and Model 3, making the latter arguably the cheapest Tesla ever.

The updates to Tesla’s online configurator show that the Model Y Long Range and Model Y Performance models are now listed at $2,000 less than their prices earlier this week.

While the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) we reported on previously remains at $43,990, it still represents a significant value in Tesla’s lineup.

Not to be outdone, the Model 3 has also seen price reductions. The Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range versions have both had $1,250 taken off their prices, while the Performance model now offers a compelling $2,250 discount compared to its original price.

This means that prospective buyers can now join the Tesla club for as little as $38,990 for the RWD version of the Model 3. When considering state, local, or regional tax credits and the $7,500 federal credit available to potential electric vehicle (EV) buyers, it’s possible that some customers could acquire a Model 3 for under $30,000.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time Tesla has reached ‘all-time’ low prices. The Model 3 was briefly available for $35,000 in the now-discontinued Standard Range variant back in 2018, but Tesla phased it out, citing the fact that more customers were opting for the Standard Plus model.
