A talented Subnautica fan who enjoys LEGO has created and constructed their own replica of the Seatruck, a modular underwater exploration vehicle originally seen by fans in Subnautica: Below Zero. This isn’t the first time that Subnautica fans have made LEGO sets based on some of the game’s assets, as many of the game’s biomes, monsters, and vehicles have served as inspiration for fans to construct sets.
The Seatruck is only one of the numerous Alterra-branded submersible vehicles that players may build in the games to better explore planet 4546b’s vast and varied aquatic landscape. The Seatruck, which functions as a mix of the original game’s Seamoth and Cyclops submarines, enables players to manufacture and connect a variety of various modules, each of which has a specific purpose. Storage modules to store equipment and supplies, fabricator modules to create tools and prepare food, and even an attachment that lets players transport their Prawn Suit along with the Seatruck are among the useful compartments.
The LEGO kit was created by a Reddit user called Breadcrumbofmidgard and contains the fan-made LEGO submarine in its entirety. The construction is shown in three images: the main cabin of the Seatruck, the cabin with certain modules connected, and the individual modules utilised in the build. Although it does not display the inside of the Seatruck or the mobile vehicle bay that was used to construct it, fans can see a few modules with somewhat varied exterior looks, most notably the glass aquarium module affixed to the vehicle’s end.
This excellent design has a great deal of detail and seems to be a near-perfect reproduction of the in-game Seatruck. This Seatruck module looks to employ the same basic white and navy-blue colours as Subnautica’s bases and vehicles, complete with exterior lights, boosters, and even module rails that are used to propel each module around when removed from the vehicle.
Fans were initially disappointed that the Seatruck would be replaced with the much bigger, industrial Cyclops submarine, which was deleted owing to Subnautica: Below Zero’s more limited map design. Since the game’s release last year, it seems that Subnautica: Below Zero’s innovative design choices and features have steadily garnered the approval of enthusiasts, including Seatruck.
