Steam Next Fest is scheduled to begin in June and will feature ‘hundreds of trials’

From June 13th through June 20th, Valve will host its next Steam Next Fest, which will allow gamers to try out demonstrations of forthcoming PC games directly from Steam.

Valve has promised “hundreds of demos” this year, and while the company hasn’t revealed which games would be playable at the forthcoming event, last year’s event featured some notable titles, like Sable and Toem, which were both released in June. It appears likely that Valve will push titles that are excellent for the Steam Deck, and ideally, by that time, a large number of users will have secured their highly-anticipated reservations for the Steam Deck.

Because of the mid-June date, Steam Next Fest will take place precisely around the time of the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Even though E3’s organizers have stated that the trade exhibition will not be held in person this year owing to “the persistent health hazards associated with COVID-19,” they have not yet confirmed precise dates for the event.
