The teaser also featured Sonic assisting Big the Cat in reeling in a fresh catch, with an octopus at the end of Big’s fishing line. In addition, the video included one of the Cyber Space levels, which accounts for around one-third of the game’s action. The level in question was Sonic and Knuckles’ Sky Sanctuary. Sky Sanctuary was not, however, built-in 3D for the first time in the series since the original iteration appeared in 2011’s Sonic Generations.
With the game’s primary theme, “I’m Here,” playing in the background, the video concluded with Sonic transforming into Super Sonic and trading punches with a Titan while the game’s logo and box art for each platform were seen. In addition, “The Adventurer’s Treasure Box,” a presale bonus redeemable in the game after launch, was shown. In summary, the new teaser reduced everything fans can anticipate from Sonic Frontiers into a small, bite-sized sample for them to munch on ahead of the game’s release.
