Skyrim is not just one of the most successful RPGs of all time, but it is also an unusual game in that it has lasted more than 10 years. A large part of its durability may be attributed to a committed modding community that continues to provide so much material for the game. Many of these modifications take the shape of unique missions or characters, UI adjustments, bug patches that Bethesda clearly overlooked, and a bevy of graphical updates that help maintain this piece of Tamriel looking nice after all these years. As such, Skyrim has weathered the test of time, while many players are eager to move on to the next game.
