Skoda is all set to offer a diverse range of powertrains for the 2024 Superb. Customers can choose from gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid options, with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Regardless of the selected powertrain, all variants will employ a seven-speed DSG transmission, except for the plug-in hybrid model, which will feature a six-speed DSG. A noteworthy change is the relocation of the gear lever to the steering wheel column, freeing up more space between the front seats.
In a perfect world, the Volkswagen Group would introduce Skoda to the United States, offering a compelling choice for customers who favor traditional cars over SUVs. However, given the discontinuation of the Passat in 2022, it remains uncertain whether sedans with combustion engines have a place in the U.S. market.
