New Fortnite skins portraying two of the most popular characters from the classic survival-horror genre have surfaced online, indicating that the game will have another crossover with Resident Evil. The first Fortnite collaboration with Resident Evil came in October 2021, when players could purchase Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield skins from the in-game item store.
Fortnite has swiftly become one of the most popular and influential multiplayer video games of all time, and one of the main reasons for this is the presence of partnerships between Fortnite and other massive properties, such as Star Wars, DC Comics, and Street Fighter. The partnerships help to the game’s large player base by continually offering new and exciting content that might attract new players who would not have been interested in the battle royale game otherwise. These collaborations usually result in new skins, equipment, and game modes inspired by the partnered property, which may create a lot of hype and excitement among players.

ShiinaBR, a well-known Fortnite content leaker on Twitter, has uploaded an online image of what seems to be the next Resident Evil characters to enter the Battle Royal Island: Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy. The skins seem to be based on the characters’ appearances in Resident Evil 2, with Leon donning his characteristic blue henley and Claire wearing her famous red vest.
These skins might be released with the Resident Evil 4 remake, which is set to be released on March 24. It is unknown whether these Fortnite x Resident Evil skins will be unlocked through the in-game item shop or through a series of challenges, similar to the previous Witcher collab event, where players could unlock Geralt of Rivia by completing a series of fun quests as long as they purchased that Season’s Battle Pass.
The long-awaited debut of Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 2 will also include another spectacular crossover with the famed Attack on Titan anime, as players will be able to acquire the skin of Eren Yeager, the protagonist of the series. Although another cooperation with Resident Evil may be a wonderful approach to combine two well-known brands while also producing fresh and exciting content for Fortnite. Fortnite’s ongoing partnerships are critical for a free-to-play game that relies on microtransactions for revenue.
