Realme, the sister brand of Oppo, has announced the global release of its latest device, the Realme GT3, featuring the highly anticipated 240W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. Revealed at the MWC conference, the device is identical to the Chinese GT Neo5 model and offers a quick 80-second connection with the custom 12A cable, which will replenish the 4,600mAh battery to 20 percent. In addition, a 9.5-minute session with the cable will fully charge the battery.
The GT3’s battery has a massive vapor chamber liquid cooling system to cope with the extra heat generated by the higher charging power. The system is complemented by various safety sensors and a fireproof design. Furthermore, the battery maintains at least 80-percent health after 1,600 charging cycles, which is double the industry standard.
The Realme GT3 boasts a small C-shaped RGB lighting ring, known as the “Pulse Interface System,” which is located next to the camera module. The light ring indicates the battery level, incoming calls, notifications, and camera countdown, and is customizable. The device also has a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and optical stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, there is a 6.74-inch 2,772 x 1,240 AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, an under-display fingerprint reader, and a 16-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera. The infrared remote blaster and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers are also included.
The Realme GT3 is available in four different models, starting at $649. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the special variant offers 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. The device will be available soon across Europe and Asia.
While the charging speed of the Realme GT3 may not match Xiaomi’s recent five-minute record claim, it is still a highly anticipated device due to its 240W SuperVOOC fast charging technology.
