PPDS Unveils 32″ Philips Tableaux ePaper Display with E Ink Spectra™ 6 Technology at ISE 2024

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, has once again pushed the boundaries of the AV industry with the launch of their new 32″ Philips Tableaux 5150I ePaper display, running on the revolutionary E Ink Spectra™ 6 platform. This groundbreaking announcement positions PPDS as the world’s first leading global display manufacturer to introduce a full-color ePaper signage display of this size, backed by the Android SoC platform.

The 32″ Philips Tableaux 5150I is set to debut at a launch event in November, with its global unveiling scheduled for ISE 2024 in Barcelona, from January 30 to February 2, 2024. This innovative ePaper display marks a significant leap in technology for larger, full-color ePaper displays and aligns with PPDS’ commitment to bringing high-impact, energy-conscious solutions to the market.

The new display builds on the success of the 25″ Philips Tableaux, introduced at ISE 2023, which gained recognition for its energy-efficient design and sustainability benefits, making it an ideal choice for businesses looking to transition from paper-based signage.

Martijn van der Woude, VP Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS, highlighted the impact of the previous model and the significance of the new 32″ version, saying, “For 2024, we are leading the market once again with our new 32” model, bringing next-generation ePaper technology forward.”

The 32″ Philips Tableaux 5150I runs on E Ink’s highly anticipated E Ink Spectra 6™ color platform, delivering previously unachievable color performance, rivaling that of print quality on its 2560 x 1440, 16:9 digital display.

Andrea Barbuti, Global Product Manager at PPDS, emphasized the versatility of the new display, explaining, “Portrait or landscape mountable, the 32” Philips Tableaux 5150I is a perfect replacement for any paper-based communication – from posters, menus, in-store advertising and promotions, wayfinding, and timetables through to store opening hours. The opportunities are endless.”

The 32″ Philips Tableaux 5150I also offers remote management capabilities through PPDS Wave, the company’s secure cloud platform, making it suitable for various business environments.

Robert Hsu, VP Global Product Strategy at PPDS, highlighted the potential of the 32″ display, stating, “Our new 32” Philips Tableaux 5150I represents far more than simply an upgrade in size. This is a technological breakthrough.”

PPDS’ partnership with E Ink has allowed them to create a sustainable signage solution that combines the benefits of digital content with the aesthetics of print quality while being highly energy-efficient.

With details on availability and pricing to be announced in early 2024, PPDS expects to see their Philips Tableaux ePaper displays continue to transform businesses and industries around the world.
