Porsche just pulled a stealth move in June, giving its iconic crest a makeover for the 75th anniversary. And now, if you’re rolling in a Turbo model, you get a special Turbonite badge, ditching the classic gold finish for this exclusive look crafted by Porsche’s Color & Trim division.
These wizards at Porsche, the same folks who handle body colors and the fancy Paint-To-Sample program, have sprinkled some Turbonite magic on more than just the badge. Turbo models are getting rear lettering, window borders, aero blades, wheel spokes, front apron inlays, and even the front crest and alloys in the Turbonite treatment.
But here’s the kicker – step inside a Turbo model, and the Turbonite vibes continue. The badge on the steering wheel is rocking the fresh logo, and elements like buttons, belt straps, and trim strips are all getting the Turbonite touch.
Now, if you decide to go for a Porsche Turbo model with a black interior, you will be given the option to go for a Turbonite accents on the seat, door cards, instrument panel, and even the floor mats. Not only does it look exqusite, the driving experience will be better as well.
And guess who’s leading the Turbonite revolution? The upcoming third-gen Panamera, set to make its debut on November 24. From day one, the Panamera will be flaunting the Turbo E-Hybrid model, packing a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine and an electric motor for a wild 650 horsepower combo. With a claimed 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds, this electrified beast is set to make a statement.
Hold tight for more, as Porsche hinted at a beefier S version later in the Panamera’s life.
