Pixel 8 Pro Leak Suggests Modest Performance Gains, No Major Leap in Series

According to leaks from industry insider Yogesh Brar on Twitter, Google’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Pixel 8 Pro, is rumored to have a 6.7-inch Quad HD Plus LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will feature a triple camera system with a 50MP main lens, 64MP ultra-wide, and a 48MP telephoto option, along with an 11MP selfie camera. The Pixel 8 Pro is said to be powered by the Google Tensor G3 SoC and will have 12GB of RAM, with storage options of 128GB and 256GB.

Interestingly, the Pixel 8 Pro’s specs are quite similar to the Pixel 7 Pro, with some upgrades like the addition of the Tensor G3 chip. The leak suggests that Google is focusing on improving specific areas, such as gaming performance, camera capabilities, and battery life, while keeping most of the other features similar to its predecessor.

While the leak has both positive and negative aspects, it is essential to treat it with caution until Google officially announces the Pixel 8 Pro. The launch date is expected to be sometime in October, so we may have to wait a bit longer to get official confirmation on the specifications and features of the new device.
