Pathfinder may get a new passive in Season 16 after several requests from Apex Legends players. Players noticed this during a recent live broadcast by a Respawn dev, when they may have released a new passive ability for the Recon-class Legend while playing the game.
Pathfinder, often referred to as the Forward Scout, is an upbeat and amiable MRVN (Mobile Robotic Versatile Entity) with a focus on exploring and assessing terrain. Because of his mobility abilities, he is a popular character among Apex Legends players, with an outstanding 9.7% selection rate in Season 15 thus far. His tactical ability is a Grappling Hook, which may be used to manoeuvre about and gain higher ground, while his ultimate power is the Zipline Gun, which blasts out a zipline for him and his friends to utilise. Finally, his passive ability Insider Knowledge allows him to scan a survey beacon to discover the ring’s next location, as well as reduce the cooldown of his tactical and completely charge his ultimate.
Apex Legends gamers have long advocated for a new Pathfinder passive to enhance his effectiveness as a supporting character further. While all Recon-class Legends have a common passive that enables them to scan survey beacons, this suggestion hasn’t gone unnoticed. According to Apex Legends YouTuber Bobz, the Forward Scout may gain a new passive talent in Season 16 that allows him to go quicker on his zip lines. Some speculate that this is a boost for the Zipline Gun, while others assume it is a new passive ability—for the time being, Respawn has not confirmed anything.
Respawn has previously said that it intends to diversify Legends’ passive powers, however, these modifications have yet to be included in Apex Legends. In the case of Pathfinder, developers have previously said that they did not want to give him too much power since he is already renowned as an excellent mobility character, and this reported passive may only provide him with the necessary amount of boosted movement.
Pathfinders anticipated new passive may not be introduced in Season 16, or it may be cancelled entirely. Respawn designers have spoken about trying out abilities and map elements that didn’t make it into the game, such as Broken Moon’s low-gravity gameplay, and this Pathfinder passive might be one of them. Many gamers, though, remain optimistic about their beloved MRVN.
