Blizzard Entertainment has introduced the exhilarating Hero Mastery mode to Overwatch 2, offering players an engaging single-player experience completely free of charge. In this exciting mode, players can navigate action-packed courses as a selection of heroes, with plans to expand the hero roster over time.
The Hero Mastery courses present players with a series of challenges, including overcoming obstacles, utilizing jump pads, and engaging in skirmishes with revamped training bots. Players must collect Emblems, dispatch foes, and race against the clock to reach the finish line as quickly as possible, all in pursuit of achieving high scores. These training bots have received a makeover, introducing Rocket Bots armed with perilous projectiles, Sniper Bots true to their name, and Tank Bots boasting formidable health pools and barriers. Moreover, each hero has the opportunity to earn extra points by leveraging their distinctive abilities.
Currently, courses are available for Reinhardt, Mercy, and Tracer, while Winston and Sojourn will join the lineup later in the current season. Each hero offers three progressively challenging courses, necessitating players to achieve commendable scores on lower-level difficulties to unlock the next tier.
For players fond of complimentary rewards, completing these courses is a must. Mastering all three courses for a hero results in exclusive rewards, including a Name Card, Player Icon, and additional Battle Pass XP. Furthermore, until September 25, limited-time rewards are up for grabs, featuring an exclusive Weapon Charm and Spray.
The Hero Mastery courses in Overwatch 2 will remain available indefinitely, providing players with a captivating and enduring single-player experience in the beloved multiplayer franchise.
