The Epic Mei skin has been added to the Overwatch 2 cosmetic store today, but many fans of the frosty hero are still waiting for her return to the hero roster. Because Mei has many followers in the Overwatch 2 community, some players want to buy the cosmetic but aren’t sure when they’ll be able to utilise it in the hero shooter. Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Mei would return in the midseason patch, however, the Overwatch 2 update has been postponed until an unspecified date owing to a significant problem that has yet to be fixed.
Although many fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with Mei’s absence from the game but not from the daily store, others have critiqued the aesthetic of Retro Star by comparing it to other Overwatch cosmetics such as McDonald’s Tracer. While some Overwatch 2 players were quick to point out that the cosmetics development team is different from the one working on Mei, others remain confident that Activision Blizzard will be able to patch the hero quickly.
