Meta has announced the arrival of the popular Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint apps on their Quest VR platform. The apps are compatible with the Meta original Oculus Quest, the Meta Quest 2, the Meta Quest Pro, and the latest model, the Meta Quest 3.
Meta announced the availability of the Microsoft Suite for the Quest VR headsets at the Connect 2022 event, and back then, it was unveiled that the Quest VR headsets would be getting the whole Microsoft Suite experience. Well, it now looks like a part of the package has arrived and the best part is that the apps can be downloaded for free on the Meta Quest Store.
At the moment, the apps are not fully optimised for the VR experience, so if you are planning to use the Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint apps on in virtual reality, you will have to make some adjustment in order to get the hang of things, but the fact that the partnership between Meta and Microsoft is bringing the productivity suite to VR is definitely good news for new and existing users.
