McLaren’s recent floor upgrade in Baku has set the foundation for future success, according to driver Lando Norris. The team entered the 2023 Formula 1 season with the MCL60, an underperforming challenger that required upgrades to compete with the dominant Red Bull team.
In Baku, McLaren’s efforts paid off, as both Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri showcased strong performances throughout the weekend. Both drivers advanced to the final qualifying session, Q3, with Norris securing a respectable ninth-place finish in the Grand Prix on Sunday.
