Mark Your Calendars: Samsung’s First Unpacked Event of 2023 Set for February 1st!

Samsung has officially announced the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023 and it’s going down on February 1st at 1PM Eastern. But this time, Samsung is doing things a little differently – they’re inviting media to join them in person at The Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. But don’t worry if you can’t make it, you can still catch all the action through the livestream on Samsung’s website.

Now, Samsung is being tight-lipped about what to expect but if you take a look at the invitation, you’ll see a triple-camera teaser which is a dead giveaway that the Galaxy S23 is on its way. But that’s not all, Samsung is also offering a pre-order plan where Americans can reserve the future Galaxy devices on February 1st. And as a bonus, if you sign up for the reserve system by that day, you’ll get $50 in Samsung Credit if you pre-order one device or $100 if you pre-order two.

As for what the Galaxy S23 will entail? Well, leaks have suggested that Samsung will be dropping the Exynos chips and opting for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The S23 Ultra is also rumored to pack a 200-megapixel main camera in place of the 108MP sensor from last year’s model. The regular S23 and S23+ models are also rumored to have 50MP cams. While the design might not change much, you could see improved selfie cameras, emergency satellite messaging, and possibly a flat display on the Ultra variant. All in all, it’s shaping up to be an exciting event and we can’t wait to see the new hardware for ourselves.
