Honor of Kings esports powerhouse LGD Gaming Malaysia have been crowned the champions of the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 after defeating Team Secret in the grand finals.
As champions, LGD Gaming Malaysia take home the largest share of the $300,000 USD prize pool and will advance to the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason tournament at the Esports World Cup from August 1-4 where 12 international teams will compete for global domination. Earlier this year, Honor of Kings announced a three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation that will see the world’s most played MOBA become a staple of the event.
LGD Gaming Malaysia, alongside seven other teams who ranked highest at Honor of Kings Invitational Season Two will now prepare for Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason | Esports World Cup where they will battle for the lion’s share of US$ 3 million.
In addition, among the participating teams at the Esports World Cup, there are also two qualifying slots, one is for the host country, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which goes to Team Falcons who advanced via EWC Saudi Qualifier, and the other qualification slot goes to Weibo Gaming Malaysia, who advanced from EWC Last Chance Qualifier.
There are also two invites – one is an all-star line-up of players from the King’s Pro League, the Chinese Honor of Kings pro league, and the other represents the Southeast Asia region which will be concluded from the Honor of Kings Southeast Asia Showdown. BOOM Esports?Philippines?and Rex Regum Qeon (Indonesia) will compete in Honor of Kings Southeast Asia Showdown for the final slot in Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason.
